A Grecian Getaway!

We were so very lucky to have our great friends, the Huber's, come over and meet us in Greece in early October for a wonderful vacation! We met up in Athens and piled in our conversion van for an adventure!  We drove to the Peloponnesian coast for 6 days of beach fun.  The Grecian coastline was beautiful.  We had a bit of rain on and off so we took advantage of those days to do some sightseeing and hit the indoor pool with the kiddos.  We tour Ancient Olympia, the Temple of Zeus and other great sites.  As usual, Tom loved exploring the ancient sites and telling Finn all about them.  ; )  During the sun time we hit the beach at the resort and also discovered our very own private, gorgeous beach nearby. It looked like a scene from a postcard.  In between we had plenty of Greek wine and gyros and enjoyed the company of great friends!  Tom and Josh somehow accidentally found an amazing restaurant when they got lost one day.  We had lunch at Katerina's and even got to meet the infamous "Katerina" herself.  It was one of the best meals of our whole trip.  After relaxing on the coast we packed our van and headed into Athens for a few more days.  It was great being back in this cool city and was much more charming than I remembered.  We spent our first evening having drinks at a rooftop bar with views of the lit up Pantheon at night- amazing!  Our next day was full of sightseeing - The parliament, Ancient Agora, Pantheon, Acropolis and more.  We made sure to take breaks in between for more awesome Greek wine and Baklava.  Sadly, the Huber's had to leave and head back to the states.  We stayed one more day in Athens and spent time as a family celebrating Finn's 6 month birthday - not a bad place to spend it!  We roamed the streets of Athens and relaxed before heading home the next morning.  All in all, it was an awesome vacation and we are so thankful the Huber's made the big trip over to see us!  We can't wait to plan our next adventure together.
