Uncle Doug comes to visit!
We were happy to welcome our friend, Doug, back to Warsaw for another visit this fall! It started off with Tom making an unexpected trip to the dentist but only went up from there. Tom and Doug went on a guys road trip and drove to Lviv, Ukraine, Budapest, Hungary, Bratislava, Slovakia and then back to Warsaw. In between they stopped at a bunch of cute small towns and villages. They had a blast except for the hours long wait to cross in and out of the Ukraine. Finnegan was so happy to meet his Uncle Doug! Thanks for a great visit Doug.
Finn's 1st Swing!
He absolutely loved his first time swinging. We are lucky enough to have a little playground in the park behind our house....so I have a feeling that we will be spending lots more time there in the future!
All Saint's Day 2014
We celebrated Finn's first All Saints Day in Poland by taking Finn to one of the largest and oldest cemeteries in Warsaw, Powazki. We arrived right at sunset and as always, it was absolutely gorgeous to see all of the candles lit throughout the cemetery. Finn seemed mesmerized watching all of the light and colors. Tom used his awesome sense of direction to find the graves of our friend, Lech's parents, and we lit candles for them. We wer happy we could do this for Lech as he is currently living in Taiwan. All Saints Day in Poland is one of our favorite days and traditions here. It is just so special to witness it firsthand and we are glad we got to share it with Finnegan.
