Finn meets Grandma!

We were thrilled to have Tom's mom visit us over the last two weeks.  She got to meet her 5th grandchild, Finn and spend lots of great quality time with our family.  We even got to do some fun travel together....details to come.  We are so glad that she made the trip over and we created a lot of special memories together!  Finn can't wait to see her again!  Thanks Grandma....we love you!

Finn's Famous? Or just plain freaky?

Last week we heard through a lot of Tom's friends that Finn's picture had somehow made it on a website called The Chive.  Apparently this website is a conglomeration of user submitted photos that are selected for posting.  Finn was listed as number 42 in a grouping of photos called "Afternoon Randomness".  Kinda crazy and a little freaky at the same time.  It's amazing just how much stuff is public on the Internet. Now, if only we could find out who submitted the photo!?

Krakow, Poland

The second weekend we had Grandma visiting we took a road trip South.  We first stopped in Czestechowa, the city famous for the Black Madonna shrine.  The Black Madonna is the holiest Catholic site in all of Poland.  It was absolutely gorgeous to see and was especially neat as we saw hundreds of pilgrims making the annual walk to the shrine in preparation of the Assumption of Mary Holiday on August 15th.  After our stop we headed on to Krakow.  We spent a great weekend in Krakow showing Grandma the sites and enjoying the gorgeous Old Town Square.  We enjoyed a lovel dinner al fresco in the square with live Jazz Music, toured the city by golf cart and even managed to squeeze in a second great swim for Finn at the hotel pool!  All in all....a great weekend!
