Cyprus!

Before Finn was born we planned his very first vacation!  We figured that a trip to the beach could be an easy and low key way to travel with a newborn.  So, we spent the Corpus Christi holiday heading off for an extra long weekend in Cyprus!  Finn was a rockstar on they go three hour flight and was a well behaved baby for mom and dad on most of the trip!  It was great to get away as a family of three and enjoy some uninterrupted quality time together.
Cyprus is a beautiful island with picturesque beaches and gorgeous, sunny weather.  We spent most of our time lounging by the pool and the Mediterranean.  But, we did manage to carve out time for Tom's favorite...checking out the local history.  There are a surprising number of awesome archeological sites on the island that we got to see.  Cyprus is known for the "Athenian Route", a series of archeological sites based around the Greek goddess.  We also spent a day driving to the interior of the island which is covered in beautiful wooded forests and mountains and a few adorable, traditional Cypriot towns.
Finnegan had some BIG firsts on this trip....his first time swimming in a pool and his first dip in the Mediterranean.  Not too shabby for 10 weeks old.  The pool water was a bit too cold for his liking.  We were planning to take him into the kids pool, which was quite a bit warmer, but it was closed due to a child pooing in the pool.  We were just happy that it wasn't Finn that had pooed in the pool. : )
