Christmas Markets in Vienna

It's time to go back and update the end of 2013.
I started the month of December going on our second annual Girls Christmas Market trip..and of course, it did not disappoint!  In 2012 we hit up Berlin, so this year we decided to head off to Vienna, Austria after seeing it consistently appear in a number of different lists highlighting the top Christmas markets in Europe!  Our group grew in size this year and we had 10 ladies and 2 babies off on a weekend adventure.  We lucked out, and although it was cold and windy, we did not have any snow.  We spent our days exploring the various Christmas markets all across the city and enjoying the beautiful city of Vienna made even more beautiful with all of the wonderful Christmas decorations on display.  After miles of walking all day we spent our evenings sharing laughs and wine over yummy Viennese cuisine.  It was so much fun to get away with the ladies and I am hopeful that we can continue this fun tradition while we are living in Europe!  And, don't feel too badly for Tom...he spent the weekend relaxing and enjoying beers with the guys back in Warsaw.

So many pretty things at the markets....

Cold and windy...but that didn't keep us away!

Ladies time...so much fun

Life lately in Warsaw.....

The Sullivan's haven't disappeared...life has just been a bit busy getting ready for the little guy's arrival in a few short weeks!  That combined with a lack of energy due to pregnancy has left the blog in need of some major updates.  So, hoping to get caught up in the next few weeks.
Life has been great in Warsaw in 2014. We've been spared from an arctic tundra winter and have had relatively mild weather in the 40's and even low 50's.  We are crossing our fingers that this great weather continues!  We have slowed down our travel and been busy preparing the apartment and our family for the baby's arrival.  Tom and I just completed a 5 week prenatal course and Charlie has had a bit or dog training so hopefully he will listen a bit better in the months to come (we can all dream.right?  ; ) .....We are heavily into nesting and transforming our guest bedroom into a nursery.  All around fun and exciting times!  We are so excited to meet our little guy in a few short weeks.

Enjoying the nice weather and a family walk!

Palace of culture all lit up for Valentine's Day!

Yes, those are 3 crazy Polish cars...Tom somehow convinced a couple buddies that they needed one too!

The palace lit up in the colors of the Ukranian flag to show their support for the Ukraine

Fun times at the Warsaw soccer team game...go Legia!

A nice surprise view from our balcony....celebrating an annual charity drive in Warsaw!
