Mimi and Grandpa Visit!

The last of our whirlwind of visitors was my parents, Mimi and Grandpa! They were anxious to get back over to Poland to get their hands on their grandson.  And, we were thrilled to have them! Finn has changed SO much since those first few weeks of his life when they were here.  We had wonderful sunny weather and enjoyed the many parks and beer gardens in Warsaw. And, even got to sneak in an early birthday celebration for my Mom. Thanks Mimi and Grandpa for all of your help and fun times.  We miss you already! xoxo

Date Night!

We decided to explore parts of Warsaw that we haven't yet in our time here.  Our first stop was at the Jewish Cemetery.  It's absolutely beautiful and a super cool mix of old and new.  It's also really neat in that nature has continued to evolve and develop in the space so it's a very peaceful park like setting with all of the tall trees.  It was amazing to see many pre-war graves still standing and to imagine what life was like at this time.  Prior to the war, Poland was home to 1/3 of the world's Jewish population!  Our next stop was to head to the top of the Palace of Culture.  This is the enormous building that we can see from our apartment balcony.  It serves a variety of purposes including housing offices, a pool, movie theater, performance theater and more.  We chose to go up to the observation deck at the top and look out on the views of Warsaw from all four sides.  It was a great vantage point and somehow we timed it just right to enjoy the sunset from the top!
It's so nice being able to spend some time just Tom and I again every once in awhile!
