Enjoying the Holidays...

When we decided to go back to the states for Thanksgiving we knew we would be back in Poland for the month of December.  We were excited to spend the holiday season in Warsaw to experience what it is like.  We made the most of the season spending December enjoying the decor, holiday markets and more in Warsaw and around Europe!  Here is a bit of how we spent our time!

Out checking out all of the lights and decor with friends

We spent an afternon baking Christmas cookies with friends.  Did you know gingerbread, aka Piernik, is a traditional Polish holiday cookie.

Finished Product!

Our little Christmas Tree!  All of the ornaments on our tree have been collected from our travels.  We try and pick up one ornament on every trip we take.  It was so much fun recalling all of our different travel memories as we put the tree together.

Ornaments from Salzburg and Istanbul.  Every Christmas tree needs an evil eye to ward off any bad spirits.

Ornaments from Tuscany, Dubrovnik, and Amsterdam!

Our cowbell ornament from Switzerland...

On what we think was the coldest night in Warsaw we ventured out to the Christmas markets.  But, first made a stop at Tom's favorite Milk Bar for Piwo (beer) and Kielbasa.

The Presidential Palace all lit up.
