Awesome Thing About Living in Europe #15: Kasia
Kasia, our cleaning lady in Warsaw is amazing! Not only does she work incredibly hard but she is sweet as can be and so helpful. Kasia lived in Chicago for 10 years and is now living back in Poland taking care of her mother. Kasia LOVES Charlie and is always loving on him and playing ball with him. My favorite thing about Kasia is that she is so motherly and caring and "takes care" of us since our own moms are thousands of miles away. Just this week I was coming down with a cold. Kasia noticed immeidately and was quite worried. She insisted that I pick up some special vitamin from the pharmacy and instructed me to take a higher dose than the packaging recommended. I questioned this and she told me that "its okay" and that "everyone takes extra of this vitamin when they are sick". Andm I have to say that this vitamin has worked wonders. Kasia has made phone calls for me in Polish and translates our Polish mail that I don't fully understand. She is a godsend and we are so luck to have her. She makes those potentially frustrating situations here just a bit easier.
